✨🌈 Family Neon Night Hike 🌈✨

Get your NEON fancy dress at the ready as we can't wait to welcome you for one of our favourites, our fantastic Neon Night Hike around Dovestones to "shine a light on mental health" along with have fun & make memories with our Empowered To Thrive community.

We will be on the lookout for those who have made most effort to give our "Best Neon Dressed" award on the night - so get creative and stand out from the crowd!

This is an event suitable for the whole family - it is suitable for all ages, pram friendly (maybe a bit muddy!) and a fairly easy, steady paced 3 mile walk with a twist of magic along the way.


🎟️ TICKETS: Tickets are donation based, please get tickets for ALL attendees so that we can monitor numbers and ensure a smooth and safe event for all. Please have your ticket QR codes ready on arrival, due to the nature of this event tickets will be scanned by our volunteers on arrival, your support to keep things smooth is appreciated.


✨ LIGHTS & GLOWSTICKS: We offer a range of lights, glowsticks and torches for sale on the night. We have some exciting new items for this event which we know you will love!! Card or cash accepted.

🌟 A magical night walking under the stars in a beautiful location.

💫 Shining a light on mental health & raising awareness. 🔥 An evening surrounded by friends, family and our local community. 🌿 Time out in nature, enjoying your surroundings. 🫖 Snacks and warm drinks will be available to purchase. ✨ A calm, welcoming space to just be and enjoy.


If you want to come on your own, please do! You'll have new friends by the end of the event ✨

Frequently Asked Questions


🌟 Is the hike suitable for children & prams?

Yes! This is a family friendly event designed to be enjoyed and accessed by all - it is 3 miles and a fairly flat easy walk. The route is pram friendly but it can get muddy. We can't wait for you to make memories together!


🌟 Can I bring my dog?

Yes, friendly dogs are welcome on the hike but must be kept on a lead AND HAVE A LIGHT UP COLLAR or similar to avoid tripping hazards.


🌟 Do I need a torch or headtorch?

YES! This is a night hike therefore we advise that everyone has a torch or headtorch to ensure safety on the night. We will have torches, glowsticks and other light up accessories available for purchase on the night too! Let's shine a light on mental health together.


🌟 What if i'm coming on my own?

We always welcome people coming on their own to make new connections, please let one of our leaders know if you are on your own, or buddy up with someone so that we can ensure you are accounted for at the end of the walk.


🌟 What should I wear for the hike?

We recommend wearing sturdy, comfortable walking boots that it suitable for the described terrain. Dress for the weather, plenty of layers, hat/gloves etc as it does get cold. bring waterproofs in case of rain and we recommend bringing a spare warm/dry kit in case it is needed.


🌟 Is there parking available?

There is a large amount of parking available on Dovestones Carpark. We do recommend car share where possible as these events can be busy.


🌟 What if I have medical conditions or medication I may need?

If you have any medical conditions that may effect you during the hike (such as asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, heart condition, anaphylaxis etc) then please ensure your medication is easily accessible and that someone in your party or one of our leaders is aware of where it is located.


🌟 What happens if the weather is bad?

A bit of rain doesn't deter us!!! However, we carry out regular risk assessments and if the weather conditions are severe, we reserve the right to cancel the event at short notice. We will inform you ASAP if the event has to be rescheduled or cancelled. Please join our WhatsApp group for updates.


🌟 Is alcohol allowed at this event?

We have a zero tolerance attitude to ALL alcohol and drug use at our events, anyone found to be disrespecting this will be asked to leave. Thank you for your respect & understanding.
